What is HVO?
​HVO comes from the term Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil. HVO100 is completely free of fossil materials, given that it is made only from renewable feedstock. It is characterized by excellent cold tolerance and a cetane number above 70. Since its composition is very similar to that of traditional diesel oil, it can be used in diesel-powered vehicles and machinery without any technical modifications, either pure or mixed with diesel oil.

HVO100 can be made from several raw materials (called feedstock in the industry). One of the most important sources is used cooking oil, but it is also produced in large quantities from by-products of paper production and directly from plants (e.g. palm, rapeseed).​
​
The number 100 in HVO100 means that it contains 100% HVO. We sell also HVO7, HVO20, HVO25, HVO30, blends in which the number indicates the HVO content of the diesel-HVO mixture (e.g. HVO20 is diesel with 20% HVO content). The latter are legally classified as fossil diesel with HVO content, so they are more easily marketable.

Hydrotreated vegetable oil is one of the cleanest burning fuels available today. HVO is a second-generation, synthetic, advanced renewable diesel that reduces net CO2 by up to 90% and significantly reduces nitrogen oxide (NOx), particulate matter (PM) and carbon monoxide (CO) emissions.

Among the currently available biofuels, HVO stands out and is one of the most viable options. This is because it offers excellent reliability and performance without compromising sustainability or environmental friendliness.

So if you are an ESG-committed diesel user or want to do something for the environment and sustainability, HVO100 diesel replacement green fuel could be an excellent solution.

How can I buy?
The current Hungarian legislation does not yet allow the sale of HVO100 through fuel stations. This is the reason why we do not find a fuel nozzle at Hungarian gas stations that allows us to refuel with HVO100.

However, as an end user, you can purchase HVO100 fuel, which we will deliver to your location through our Hungarian tax warehouse, in a tank designed for this purpose, with the necessary permits.
​
If purchasing HVO100 as an end user is not suitable for you, we recommend our HVO7, HVO20, HVO25 or HVO30 product, which are belds of high-quality diesel oil imported from Western Europe with 6.6/20/25/30% HVO content. This type of transport fuel is classified as diesel oil according to the Combined Nomenclature.

If you do not yet have your own HVO or diesel tank, we are happy to help you purchase one, or in the case of larger purchases and/or long-term cooperation, rent one.
